Distilled water in Cambodia

Pharmacy

I visited Siem Reap in January 2025. I asked the hotel if they could provide distilled water for me. They agreed for a fee, which is fine. I asked for 2 liters of distilled water. I received 4x 500ml bottles. The problem was that none of the bottles were sealed and the label seems to have been manually added to the bottle. It looked like the bottles had been refilled. I have no idea what process was used to clean the bottles and how the distilled water was produced. I ended up using the 4 bottles for sinus rinse. The first two bottles seemed fine, but the third one had a funny taste when I used it. The same night my nose started getting very stuffy. All this is to say that I wouldn't use this so called distilled water again and I would *not* recommend anyone to use it. I believe the bottles came from a pharmacy close-by since my wife saw similar bottles on the shelf there. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the bottle. I hope someone else had more luck getting distilled water in Siem Reap.
